The Municipal Water District of Orange County strives to provide a variety of services that provide benefit to its stakeholders and constituents. Our efforts focus on sound planning and appropriate investments in water supply development, water use efficiency, public information, legislative advocacy, water education, and emergency preparedness.

The Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) is an advocate on regional, state and federal legislative issues that affect the delivery, development, management and quality of Orange County’s drinking water resources.  MWDOC monitors legislation and helps shape public policy to ensure that Orange County’s interests are represented.  It also serves as an information resource for its client agencies, local elected officials, business and community leaders, and others in Orange County.

On behalf of its client agencies, MWDOC provides legislative updates, solicits input on evolving legislation, and provides many other valuable resources such as our 2016 OC Cities and Water Agencies Directory, to all O.C. county staff, state legislative staff and others who work and communicate with city and water officials throughout Orange County.  For elected officials and other Orange County leaders, MWDOC hosts water policy forums that provide attendees with a more in-depth look at key regional, state, and federal water issues that affect us all.
