For nearly fifty years, MWDOC has been teaching Orange County students about the value and importance of water. Over the past several months, MWDOC Public Affairs staff has been working with the California Environmental Literacy Initiative (CAELI), State Education and Environment Roundtable, and the Orange County Department of Education – which includes Inside the Outdoors – to revise school program goals, and develop a comprehensive training plan to achieve environmental literacy in education programs and traditional classrooms across Orange County.
