The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California
Since its inception, The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) has worked diligently to ensure a safe, reliable water supply for Southern California. From building the historic Colorado River Aqueduct to making significant investments in water infrastructure throughout the state and more, Metropolitan’s forward-thinking leadership has helped prepare and brace the region for drought and other natural disasters.
Now, with a new General Manager taking up the reins, many wonder what lies in store for the nation’s largest wholesale water agency. Will Metropolitan continue investing in imported water or pivot to water reuse and invest in the infrastructure needed to support it? And what role will water providers across the Southland play in support of Metropolitan’s new direction?
Please save the date and join us for a MWDOC Water Policy Forum & Dinner featuring keynote speaker Adel Hagekhalil, General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan, Thursday, September 30th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
