Join us as we take a closer look at the Governor’s plan for long-term water resilience, and discuss how it aims to achieve the state’s coequal goals of sustainable water supplies and environmental harmony.

Last summer, Governor Gavin Newsom released his Administration’s strategy to cope with climate change, environmental and ecosystem challenges, and depletion of groundwater resources. Developed by California’s Natural Resources Agency, Environmental Protection Agency, and Department of Food and Agriculture, the Water Resilience Portfolio is a prescription for dealing with unsafe drinking water, major flood risks that threaten public safety, severely depleted groundwater aquifers, agricultural communities coping with uncertain water supplies, and native fish populations threatened with extinction. At the epicenter of many of these issues is the Sacramento-San Joaquin Bay Delta.
